It was recommended that I advertise my services on these boards, especially since my current occupation is rather failing to keep me amused.

I am Mrs Emma Peel, one half of the elite Ministry task-force known as the Avengers. I'm trained in almost every conceivable martial art, am an excellent fencer, as well as a superb marksman, and I can speak numerous languages to some competent degree of fluency.
I also look damned good in a leather catsuit, and can break someone's legs from twenty feet away whilst whistling innocently.

Any takers?

Holy shit, you're Nightwing? Dude, what happened?

Deep, prolonged sigh, Beast Boy.

...I have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, you know all those things you just said? You described Nightwing. Verbatim. Down to the nice ass in a catsuit, but don't tell him I said that.

I can read this, you know.

Then stop eavesdropping!

Rude.

Even down to the 'break someone's legs from twenty feet away'? Impressive.

He's the goddamn Nightwing. Professional fearless leader and hotpants enthusiast.

He sounds like what'd happen if Steed and I were ever forced to procreate.

...Except for the hotpants part, I have no idea where those would come from.

Thinking Dick Grayson has a fine ass does not mean you're gay. It means you're paying attention.

You're ridiculous.

Hmm, nice range on the leg breaking.

But not much work here, sadly. I'd suggest hitting up a government of some kind. Good, steady work, excellent paycheck, moderate chance of being betrayed.

It's just one of my many skills, and it's rather useful for stopping people running away.

More government work... I seem rather tied to them.

I'll bet. Never a fan of it, myself.

Freelance work is harder, and a lot fewer people who are trustworthy. What's your main goal for these skills? I was a mercenary for a little bit here, and I can tell you the shit that they pay the most for here is pretty brutal.

I just want an interesting life - the life of danger, sophistication and mystery I had as an Avenger... perhaps I should become a private investigator, and advertise as a sort of bounty hunter on the side?

Private investigator's a good choice. Never had the right kind of brain for it, but I always thought it was neat.

bodyguard has good benefits, too. For when you want something that's just fun.

I'm lucky that my father decided to invest well in my education, really.

I think Mother once assigned Steed and I as bodyguards. It was a rather easy job, without any dead bodies, if I recall correctly.

I skipped a good portion of mine. Thought I'd be better learning in the real world.

I haven't done it often, but I rarely had to do anything other than be pretty and buff looking.

I was the heir to Knight Industries. Father would've been rather devastated, not to mention lost, if I'd skipped my education.

Well, I might not look 'buff', but I'm certainly pretty enough - or so Steed often told me.

Pretty is good too. People tend to overlook you, so you can get a decent shot in without doing too much harm to the aggressor or yourself.

True. And anyone who captures you tends to leave you alone for quite some time, giving you multiple chances to escape.

...Unless they tie you to the train tracks, because that's cheating.

Have you actually been tied to train tracks?

Did he twirl his mustache and laugh, too?

I have, actually. And I wouldn't recommend it.

As I recall, he didn't, despite his horrendously clichéd plan.

Like I said, government work is good if it's your thing. It just wasn't mine.
