May all of the joy of the world enter the hearts and homes of everyone this most joyous of New Years, and may their year be filled with blessings beyond riches and gold.
May the wind blow the right direction for our travelers as often as possible. May storms pass them on the side, not overhead, and may they find their way home with a good story and a safe landing.
May our year be filled with love, laughs, family, and friends.

Now you sound like Magpie. Every pearl of falsehood is grown around a grain of truth, and you know that as well as I do.

Anne was my second third mother, in a way, and Captain Teague's something like my grandfather, if you take into account that he was my sire's sire. They've always been in my line, since well before I was forever young. However, I do agree that I'm lucky to be part of such a story.

Somehow, that you know him doesn't surprise me. Foolish bird seems to be making it habit to get in the business of those that need it least. Granted, he would arge that makes you more interesting than the rest of them. And I'd be inclined to agree.

See, I had lost track of the story a few centuries back. Got harder to keep tabs on folk who can travel, when my cage continued to shrink, so to speak. You'll have to fill me in, some time.

Oh come now, it shouldn't surprise you in the least. I make it my business to know all the Figureheads, whether they be deity or simply Concepts that have come to life. I got on rather well with the Endless (Save one) back home, had an affair with Luck, and was married to save the heart of one third of a Triple Goddess.

No time like the present. I've always found that New Years is a great day to reflect upon the years past, the stories you've gathered, and to hope for just as incredible ones in the years to come. And besides, I'm not one to turn down telling a story to a handsome rogue like yourself.

I know of your background, but very little of you, remember. Although from the sounds of it, I'm going to want that to change.

You're also not one to mind giving compliments to a mirror, and that alone makes you worthy of getting a drink out of me. Anyone ever tell you you're a bit of a bastard, Master Turner?

I'll only ask for your story in return.

Aye, I hear it often, in fact. And for the life of me, I can't remember if they're literally right, and not just figuratively.

[Address] Door's open. Do mind our guard-daughter, she's highly caffeinated today.

That much I can do, of course.

For the record, my brothers and I are all bastards, and get by just fine. It's not a bad life, if you can appreciate it for what it is.

I had just been saying I needed to see London. I can actually travel here. I need to make good on that. I'll be by within the hour.
