	It's not foolish, and you're not a bad father, Pietro but you've really got to stop. Children have to make mistakes in order to learn and grow up but you never let her. I know you want to protect her, but sometimes that involves letting her get hurt. You don't want her to hate you like you hate our father do you? (Reply to this) (Thread)

She's a teenager, Wanda! She shouldn't be moving in with a boy.

I don't want her to hate me. And I've let her do what she wishes. I let her move out. I haven't even pushed her to finish school. It isn't too much that I tell her not to move in with a boy.

I can't just sit back and do nothing. But she's making it clear she doesn't need or want me in her life.

I try but maybe it is too late for me to try with her.

Yes, she's a teenager, which means that she's not a child. You've got to treat her like one. Pietro.. you can't control her. 'Letting' her do anything isn't something you can do anymore, and I'm sorry but you've got to realize that.

Billy's a nice boy, and I'm sure he won't hurt her. I'm not saying sit back and do nothing, I'm staying stop being so stubborn. Giving her ultimatums and telling her what she can and can't do isn't going to cut it. You can give her advice, and tell her you're opinion but she has to know that you value her decisions and that she has the right to make them herself.

Stop taking things for granted. She's turned into a bright exceptional young woman. At least you have yours.

	Just think about how you wanted to have been treated. Let her know that her actions have consequences, but only so far as how it's going to effect your relationship. You can't ground her, but you can tell her you don't think she's ready and that you're sorry. She just needs to know you love her and want what's best for her, that's all.
