Shooting another look in the firefighter's direction, Ezra had to admit that even with only one good arm he could likely take the guy out. "Probably wouldn't," he agreed and in truth was kind of itching for a fight.
"They say there's a fucking kernel of truth in everything, though." Ezra reasoned, not necessarily saying he believed in that shit, but he wouldn't rule it out either - he was open minded like that, apparently.
There wasn't much time to sit and discuss the plausibility of zombies now, what with the fact that both guys were on them and definitely seemed to be out for blood. "Fuck," Ezra cursed as he turned his focus back towards the engine, an urgency to fix it far more real now.
"Was just a fucking joke," he answered the Aussie, something akin to shock lacing his tone. The longer they were both exposed to this though, the longer Ezra was certain that they had somehow fallen into some kind of twisted reality or horror movie.
Fear was beginning to thread it's way through his body as he realized the horde of zombies (what the fuck, did he just think that?) were moving towards them. Ezra didn't have time to worry about that though as the bloodied man moved towards him, bypassing Nori - which was his first mistake - the German Shepherd growled low before latching onto the man's pants leg and buying Ezra a moment or two.
"I'm working on it," Ezra hissed as he shoved the second zombie away from him, kicking out at his knee and grinning only slightly when he heard the familiar crunch of bone upon impact. "Think it's the fucking starter," Which meant the Jeep could be started, but he'd need the Aussie to turn the ignition while he smacked the starter with a hammer.
The second bloodied zombie had stumbled to the ground once Ezra had kicked out his knee, so it wasn't much of a threat anymore - Nori was keeping it at bay for the most part. "Need you to get into the Jeep and start it, think you can do that?" The Aussie was still occupied with Brad, but something told Ezra the guy could handle himself and get away from the firefighter easy enough.
