WHO: Hadley, Cassidy, Lydia and Tenley
WHEN: [Forward-dated] April 4th, 2015; morning
WHERE: The Stone rooms
WHAT: Video messages and catching up on life.
It was still early, barely nine in the morning if Hadley could still believe her wristwatch. The Stone family were early risers though, and she had already been to breakfast with Christien. The rest of her family had already been up when she had left their little grouping of rooms, which had been fine with her, she was used to it.
They had barely checked in with each other lately though, which felt off considering the video messages, and what felt like significant life changes that had happened lately. Or maybe it was just Hadley that hadn’t had a chance to really talk with her family; she could probably put that on herself, her time was somewhat monopolized lately by her own doing. It was just hard to not want to be with the person who had made her so happy in the last month and a half. It was still that new relationship stage she supposed.
But because they had all been like ships passing lately she hadn’t really said anything officially, though she thought that her family had all probably guessed what was going on. She still felt badly about it a little bit, amplified by the fact that she couldn’t tell her parents either. Their message had been nice though, even if she’d been a little sad right after she had watched the video. That was the general atmosphere it seemed, of the people that had received a message.
Slipping through the hallways, Hadley backtracked to their rooms, humming to herself some song that Christien had shown her the day before. She couldn’t remember the band, but wished that she had written it down. She was singing the chorus softly to herself when she rounded the corner and pushed her door open to her room, coming up short in the doorway when she realized the space wasn’t empty. It wasn’t unusual for one of her family members to be in there, or even two, but she hadn’t expected the rest of the Stone women to be there.
“Did a miss a memo?” Hadley asked, amused more than worried that she hadn’t been clued in on something. It was probably just coincidental that Cass, Lyd and Tenley were even there. “Good morning,” she added as she padded across the room to settle on the bed, tightening her ponytail as she went.
Curling her feet underneath her, she smiled, or smirked really. “Or have I walked into some kind of intervention? Are we talking about Tenley and that relationship of hers?” Maybe it was a little early in the morning to tease.
