Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Current music:Listen All You People--Darren Hayes

Who: Camile, anyone else who'd like some random play with a slightly random boy!
What: Busking, coffee?
Where: A couple streets over and down from Diagon Alley, Muggle London
When: Saturday Afternoon, 2ish
Rating: Not very high, I expect
Status: Open/In progress.

London needed better music. And Camile had taken it upon himself to be the source of that better music. All the crap that was on the radio, it was ridiculous and sickening and the lyrics were annoying, not to mention atrocious. He didn't need lyrics for what he did. It was pure and raw, emotion from strings. Nothing else was needed, in his humble opinion.

So, he'd applied and gotten a permit to busk in the city of London. And he'd taken full advantage today. The sun was shining and the streets were busy. Maybe he'd enrich someone life today! He wasn't conceited at all. So, he'd packed his cello and a fold-away chair, put a leash on Chester and, after grabbing a couple cups of coffee, headed for the nearest street corner. He managed without tripping once! It was a good day.

Here, he set his case on the ground, opened it up for contributions to his efforts. He tied Chester to the foot of his chair and sat down. He held his cello as he flicked his bow, warmed up his fingers. He looked down at his cat and had to laugh. "You're fine, Chester. Just chill out and enjoy the music."

He started one of his favourite pieces.

Camile finished the song, bit his lip, eyes still closed as that chord rang happy and true in the sunshine. When he opened his eyes, he was aware that his glasses were missing. Everything was blurry. Without even thinking someone had picked them up, he looked around on the ground. "What happened to my glasses, Chester?" He asked the cat as he lifted his cello to look for them, completely oblivious to the woman next to him.

Maybe some people would have found it strange that this fellow had lost his glasses right off his face without even noticing, but Bianca found it almost endearing that he was so clearly into his own playing that he lost track of things. Few people were that passionate these days, not about anything. Bianca often lost her head when she was baking or cleaning.

"Kitties don't talk, sir," she said quietly, still holding his frames. She thought of her own pet. Jack could talk, but Jack was a parrot. A parrot who had called her a ho this morning. It was possible Melinda's suggestion of music with naughty lyrics hadn't been a great idea after all.

Camile looked so very lost that Bianca thought she'd better help him after all. Placing a finger gently underneath his chin, she tilted the musician's head up just enough that he was looking at her. Hoping that she was coming off as a crazy person, she very carefully placed the frames back on his face. Then she bit her bottom lip.

"Camile?" Oh, now she was definitely going to come off as a crazy person. Bee couldn't help that she remembered the names of faces of nearly everyone she had ever spoken to in her entire life. He probably wouldn't remember her from school, and was going to think she was some kind of stalker.

He was startled when someone touched his face. His eyes instantly drawn up to the woman's. He frowned a little as she said his name. Did he know her? How did she know him? If he didn't know her, how did she know his name? This was kind of weird.

He tried a smile and said, "Um. Hello, yes. I'm Camile. Have we met?" He had never ever been good with remembering anything like. So the possibility that they'd gone to school together hadn't even crossed his mind.

"I'm Bianca." She was flushing now. She should have just left well enough alone, shouldn't have bothered the poor man. "We went to school together for a bit." Bianca held out his glasses awkwardly, hoping she really didn't look as insane as she thought she did.

Then she tapped the side of her head. "I have a memory like a steel trap." She chuckled nervously. "I remember everyone I've ever met, really." There was really no need for Bianca to be acting so foolish! What was her problem?

"You play well. Very lovely." At least he could think she was a crazy stalker with an appreciation for music.

"Oh, sorry," Camile said looking around. He was never good at looking people in the eye. "I've never had a head for remembering things. I suppose I should likely invest in some memory games or something. He smiled at the compliment. "Thanks. And I appreciate the contribution." His smile a little brighter as he peered into his cello case.
