Susan was looking forward to the weekend for her party and the fact that it was the weekend. Since she was an assistant manager and made the schedule she made sure to have the weekend off. She liked it that way, plus the other manager liked working the weekends and who was Susan to argue. She was not doing much at all when she had been invited to spend sometime with Patrick and since her house was a bore and she hadn't seen him in a while she figured why not. So pulling a sweater over her care arms she apparated to his door. Before knocking she made sure that her hair wasn't sticking up and that her skirt wasn't doing anything to funny. She looked at her runners and figured they were clean enough and there was nothing she could really do about it now.

Knocking she bounced on her heels and waited. Waiting was not a game she liked to play but it was what life was made of sometimes. She chewed on her bottom lip absentmindedly as she waited.

Susan wouldn't have thought anything of being closer to Patrick or breathing on his neck because she wasn't focused on things like that and they just seemed to happen. Susan continued to sing until she heard him mention food. "Mmm, food sounds good." Susan was hungry and it was something she had just realized. Patrick didn't need the puppy dog eyes she was already swayed. She rolled away from him and sat up, missing the feeling of being in his arms but oh well.

She ran her fingers through her hair as she sat looking at Patrick before she stood up. She dusted off her bottom even though there was nothing that could be stuck to it anyway. "Let's go," she held out her hand to him.

Patrick felt her absence when she rolled away and almost regretted mentioning food. It was fleeting though and he sat up as well. He ran a hand through his hair and looked around for one of his hats. Patrick took her hand and stood up, then quickly put his paraphernalia away. That's when he spotted his wooly hat, right next to his pipe. "Awesome," he grinned and pulled it on.

"Keys. Keys, keys...there!" He said triumphantly as he found his door key. "Okay we can go," he grinned. Patrick flipped off the lights and opened the front door. He held it open for her and waited for her to step into the hall so he could lock it.

"Oh don't you look cute," Susan beamed and was tempted to pinch his cheeks but resisted. She laughed a little as he looked around for his keys, Susan couldn't quite figure out what was so funny. She slipped her feet into her shoes as he found his keys and she stepped out the door. At least the lights weren't an issue now since no scary movie had been involved.

She held out her hand while he locked the door and smiled. "You shall have to show me the way I have no idea where I am going." Susan was slowly starting to realize just how hungry she actually was. The thought of food was so appetizing right now.

Grinning, he took her hand and nodded. "Sure thing." Patrick stuffed his keys in his pocket and laced their fingers together. Walking down the stairs he held open the lobby doors for Susan to step outside. It was a tiny bit chilly with the sun down but not bad. Still, he decided to release her hand and slung an arm across her shoulders, pulling her in close. He smiled to himself. That was much better.

"So have you ever had Takoyaki before?" There were very few things Patrick wouldn't try, especially when he had the munchies. "You know what's really good? I totally found out by accident too. You get the striped ice cream. You know the chocolate, vanilla, strawberry kind and mix it with crushed tortilla chips. Tastes just like Captain Crunch."

Susan resisted the urge to swing her arms when his fingers laced with hers because she thought that would be very silly but once they were outside she did swing her arm a little but it didn't last long as Patrick's hand left her own and she wanted to pout. When she felt his arm around her and pull her close she realized that she liked this much better. She wrapped an arm around his waist and walked along with him.

"No I haven't what is it?" Susan had no idea what it was, but that wasn't all that shocking. She really only knew what she made, sure that list was growing but that was really all she knew. "Ew that just sounds gross," she wrinkled her nose when he spoke of tortilla chips in ice cream.

He led her down the street towards their right and smiled when she put her arm around his waist. "No it's really good!" Patrick laughed and grinned down at her. "I'll have to make us up a batch sometime. It was this random thing I discovered when I didn't have much left in the flat and I didn't want to leave."

Patrick paused a moment and then remembered what she'd asked. "Oh! It's octopus balls." He couldn't help but laugh. That did sound sort of funny. "I mean not really their balls, but it's like these fried balls of like octopus and rice and ginger and it's supposed to be really good even though it sounds kind of weird."

"I doubt it but I will give it a shot, just for you." She looked up at him with a sweet smile, she would try it at least once because it didn't sound so bad. Susan rested her head against him as they walked looking forward at the direction they were going. Susan had not realized just how comfortable she was like this, it was nice. Patrick and her definitely had to hang out more often after this.

"WHAT!" She said rather loudly looking up at him. "Octopus have balls?" Okay they so couldn't but then again they did have to reproduce someway but she didn't think it was the same anatomy as humans. As he explained more so what they were she laughed a little. "Okay ew, no guarantee I will eat that."

Patrick was really quite content to have Susan snugged into him like this. This was fun and comfortable. He liked hanging out with her and she was so easy to talk to. He laughed at her outburst. She likely had no idea how loud she was. "I don't know if they have balls, but it's supposed to be just like fried calamari," he smiled.

They got to the little Japanese place which had a window to the outside specifically for takeaway. "Did you want to get some and just head back? They have sushi too if you want and I can make green tea or something."

"Well it is your job to find out if they do or not okay!" Susan said with a laugh as she looked up at him. "I don't liked fried calamari." Susan announced not really knowing if she was being loud or not. She honestly didn't have much concept of what was loud at the moment. She just was content and happy, not to mention relaxed and rather carefree. She just started giggling for no reason as she looked at the takeaway window.

"I like the idea of getting food and going back. Sushi sounds good." Susan liked eating at home over eating in a restaurant because it was far less intimate. Susan of course wasn't looking to be intimate with Patrick but she still liked the idea of going home. "Mmmm tea." She liked the sound of tea.

Laughing, he nodded. "Okay, I will watch the Discovery Channel or go online and find out if octopus have balls or not," he grinned. Patrick walked up to the window and ordered the Takoyaki and a few pieces of tuna sushi and spring rolls. "And whatever the giggler over here wants too," he smiled brightly. He snugged Susie again.

The man behind the counter turned with an amused expression to Susan to take her order.

"Thank you!" She sounded like it was such a big deal and it was a weight lifted from her shoulders. She grinned as she listened to him order and she snuggled up against him. Susan was really enjoying herself. Seriously she had to hang out with Patrick more cause he was so very awesome. "I can't believe you are eating that." She said shocked as she thought about what she wanted. "Gyoza please and like six pieces of tuna sushi please." Susan thought she did that quite well. When she was done eating she gave Patrick a squeeze.

Their order was ready fairly quickly and the man handed Patrick a large brown paper sack after being paid. "Alright," he said with a bright smile as he turned to Susie. "Let's get back. I'm actually getting a tiny chill out here," he laughed. Patrick was always cold. His friends in New York would always tease him during the fall when he'd bundle up like it was subzero.

"So are you gonna be brave, Sue, and try the big bad octopus," he teased lightly.

"Okie," looking up at him she smiled ready to head back as she was a tad cold. "I could attempt to warm you, but I am not sure how to go about that." Susan wrapped her other arm around his front to link with her own hand and walked with him as if she was hugging him. Susan hoped he would get warm cause she didn't want her friend to be all chilly. "No I am not," she said looking up at him and smirked. "Maybe, but that is a big maybe."

Patrick grinned and kissed her hair when she held him that way. "That's got to be weird to walk like that," he laughed. He smirked back at her. "You won't even know what's in it looking at it and that's half the fear." He picked up the pace wanting to get back to the flat quickly. "Okay thinking warm thoughts. Fireplace, koalas, tea, hot cocoa," he kept walking but paused in his thinking. He had to know more warm things. Patrick's stomach rumbled softly. The smell from the bag was making him even more hungry.

"Nah it is fine." It was but she had her mind set on a goal of making Patrick warm. "Ooo what about a warm bed when you wake up on a cold morning, I love those warm beds. Mmm a warm bed with someone to snuggle also nice and toasty." Susan started to think of other warm things. "Fresh baked cookies." Okay that was just adding to the fact she was hungry and the bag smelled rather delicious. "I say we eat this on your bed wrapped up in a blanket. Or at least drag a blanket to the couch." Boy was Susan ever hungry.
