Susan was looking forward to the weekend for her party and the fact that it was the weekend. Since she was an assistant manager and made the schedule she made sure to have the weekend off. She liked it that way, plus the other manager liked working the weekends and who was Susan to argue. She was not doing much at all when she had been invited to spend sometime with Patrick and since her house was a bore and she hadn't seen him in a while she figured why not. So pulling a sweater over her care arms she apparated to his door. Before knocking she made sure that her hair wasn't sticking up and that her skirt wasn't doing anything to funny. She looked at her runners and figured they were clean enough and there was nothing she could really do about it now.

Knocking she bounced on her heels and waited. Waiting was not a game she liked to play but it was what life was made of sometimes. She chewed on her bottom lip absentmindedly as she waited.

Patrick looked around a moment and found the remote to his stereo. Hmmm what to play. Of course, he smiled. He skipped through the cd until he got to his favorite song. "Okay, just listen to the music and move your hips." He closed his eyes a moment and started dancing around in time to the music. Patrick tried not to do anything too much. He didn't want to discourage her, just get her to move. "Just give it a shot," he opened his eyes and smiled at her.

What were they listening too? Why did Patrick have this? It was catchy but still why was a boy listening to it? Well it was Patrick so she suppose that actually made a lot of sense. Susan took in what he said but it wasn't going to happen. She watched him and barely moved her hips at all. "I'm not good at this, it just won't happen." Susan said flopping back down on the couch. Susan would get back on her feet all he had to do was get her there. Susan had a smile on her face as she sat there looking at him she would be okay with him just dancing but adding her to the mix it would just look funny.

Laughing he shook his head. "You're not getting off the hook that easy," Patrick grinned. He reached over and grabbed her hands. "Come on. We'll start easy. Just do what I do." Still holding her hands he just started swaying his hips from side to side. "Wait. Here. This might help," he decided and put her hands on his hips. He then rested his hands lightly on hers. Patrick was in his teaching zone now and didn't think Susan might find this a little odd or uncomfortable. "Just feel how my hips move and do the same," he smiled encouragingly.

"Damn," she snapped her fingers before she was pulled up onto her feet again. "This isn't going to work." She announced as she listened to the music as she tried to sway. Of course when his hands touched her hips all was lost. Nope there was no way those hips were moving now. Susan was now panicked she was not good at people touching her in other ways than a hug or a cuddle. She got awkward at a kiss just as she got awkward with Patrick's hands on her hips. "Uh..." Susan just sort of looked at him would he move his hands, should she move hers?

Patrick didn't think about it at all. He was a bit clueless about personal boundries. Not that he did it in a mean way. He was just an open, friendly, touchy feely and often times didn't stop to think that perhaps others weren't the same. He smiled reassuringly, thinking she was just nervous about trying to do it. "I'm not going to scold you," he laughed softly. "Just try it." He tried to guide her hips to the side. "Don't try to move your whole body, just your hips." He swayed his own from side to side to demonstrate. "It's easy, Sue. You can do it!"

Okay so this wasn't that bad he was just touching her it wasn't like he was standing behind pressed up to get her to dance like that boy at the bar. Okay so this was fine, this was innocent. Susan really needed to become more comfortable with men so maybe this was a start. Susan was fine with hugs and snuggling up on a couch but this was boring her perhaps it was because his hands were on her hips not a normal place to be touched or Susan didn't think so.

"It.. is not that...easy." Her voice stuttered the words out as she was nervous about this feeling the way his hips moved. She looked at him and quickly looked up not wanting to stare, this was just getting awkward. Perhaps being taught to dance was not the best idea. She tried to move her hips but was not doing a good job thanks to her nerves.

He looked down at her when she stuttered and frowned a bit. Patrick didn't want to push her. He just had faith that she could do it. Plus, dancing was fun! "I know what's wrong," he nodded with a mischevious grin. "You're all...," he wriggled around looking rather silly. "You're all nervous and stiff. You need to relax and just go with it!"

Patrick let her go and opened up a cabinet next to his stereo. He pulled out a small wooden box and several items, putting them on the small coffee table. He didn't hesitate to pull out his weed or anything related because every one of his friends knew he smoked. He wouldn't force her to, but it was there if she wanted to. "You don't have to if you don't want, but if you smoke a bit you'll totally relax and it would be way easier," he smiled brightly.

Susan laughed a little as he wriggled he did look rather silly and that was helping make her less nervous but so was the fact that he now didn't have his hands on her hips and her own hands were off him. Yup this was much better. Susan sat down on the couch hoping to get away with no more dancing when she saw the box he put on the table. Susan was not naive enough not to know what it was because this was Patrick and it was something he had never tried to hide. She twisted her lips as she thought looking at him. It couldn't hurt to try right?

"Uh sure, I am curious anyway." One time wouldn't hurt right? Susan shifted in her seat unsure of what to think of all this. She brushed her hair from her face and got comfortable. She was with Patrick so doing this wouldn't be all that bad.

Patrick smiled when she agreed. He decided to use his bong because, at least to him, it wasn't as harsh as straight up smoking a joint. Especially for a first timer like Susan, he didn't want her to end up choking. He opened his little wooden box and took some weed out of the baggy. He packed the little bowl.

Patrick looked up at Susan from his spot on the floor and explained. "I'll take a hit first to show you how." He lit the bowl and sucked on the little mouthpiece at the top. He closed his eyes as the smoke filled his lungs and held it for a few seconds before slowly letting it out. He handed her the bong and the lighter. "Don't try to inhale too much the first time, okay?"

Susan watched as he packed the little blow rather curious at what he was doing, she dropped to sit next to him on the floor as he talked and watched what he was doing, Susan was very curious about all of this. She watched his mouth feeling a little weird watching that part of him so intensely. Susan felt a little weird about doing this but since Patrick was she didn't feel so out of place.

"Okay," she looked at Patrick almost nervous as she followed what he said. She sucked on it lightly and then pulled it away coughing. She looked at him as she continued to cough. She handed it back to him and weakly smiled.

Patrick watched her and felt a little bad when she started coughing. He rubbed her back a little trying to be soothing. "Have a little drink of your pop. The first hit is always kind of rough," he smiled at her.

He took the bong back and pulled another long hit. He'd been doing this for some time now and it took a bit for him to feel anything. Not that he wanted to get completely baked, but a good buzz would be nice. Patrick held it for a few moments and then let it out slowly, blowing rings into the air above him. He looked over at Susan and grinned.

"Thanks," she said as the rubbing of her back was actually helping. She reached for her pop and took a sip. Susan went back to looking at him and as he blew smoke rings her eyes were back on his lips again. She felt like she was looking at his lips to much but he did have nice lips though. She looked away at the top of her can running her fingers along it before putting it back on the table.

"You have some talent," she reached for the bong and took another short hit from it and the cough was just a brief one this time. She smiled as she handed it back to him. So this wasn't so bad.

He laughed as he watched her take another hit. "See, not so bad now." Patrick took another hit and set the bong down on the table. He leaned back on his elbows on the floor and looked upside down at his cd collection. He couldn't listen to NSync while he was getting high. It was just weird. Like his brain would slow down, but it would try to speed up to catch up with the sounds. It didn't work at all.

"Um, what do you feel like listening to? I've got Dido and Oasis and...this is hard when I'm upside down," he grinned over at her.

Susan looked at Patrick as he looked at his CD collection. She moved to lay on her stomach next to him and leaned her chin on hand on his chest as she looked at the titles and artists. She looked at him with a smile. "I think we should listen to Dido." Susan actually didn't know either but she liked the sound of Dido. She moved off him and lay down on the ground looking up at his ceiling.

	"Okay. Dido it is," he smiled and finally just rolled over onto his stomach. He grabbed the cd case and popped the disc into his player. Patrick hadn't been sure of this cd when he first heard it, but he liked the sound of the singer's voice and mellow sometimes was good. Susan drummed her fingers on the floor as he put the CD in deciding what was exact going on with her as she stared at the ceiling but she did feel a bit different maybe giggly if that was a way you could feel. Susan looked at him when he lay down next to her.

"I feel fine," she ran her fingers along his hand sort of not really thinking about it. Susan was meaning to just play with something and his hand happened to be there. "I guess I feel sort of relaxed and a tad giggly." Susan shrugged as she looked back up at the ceiling.

Without really thinking, Patrick felt her fingers along his hand and turned it palm up. He squeezed her fingers gently and smiled at her. "Well that's good," he nodded. "It's how you're supposed to feel."

Patrick looked up at the ceiling like she did and watched the blades of the ceiling fan spin around slowly. He wasn't sure why it popped into his head. "You know what I want to do someday? Surf. I've snowboarded and I have my skateboard, but I've never surfed in the ocean," he smiled. He turned his head looking over at her. "What do you want to do, Susan?"

Susan felt his hand move and squeeze her fingers so she moved her fingers along his palm drawing a few shapes before linking her fingers with him. Susan turned her head to him. "Well thats good," she smiled but with it came a little giggle.

Watching the spinning fan was more entertaining than it should be. Susan snorted as she looked at the fan and turned her head to look at Patrick as he spoke. "Surfing, then you should do it." Susan watched Patrick's head turned she hadn't realized how close they were until they had both turned their face and they sort of close. "I have always wanted to go on an airplane and see other places." She had always wanted to go on those muggle contraptions called an airplane plus she wasn't that confident in her apparation skills and Key Ports made her sick so she had not had much chance of going places.

"Why is the fan so interesting?" Susan asked turning her head back to look at it before turning back to face Patrick.

"I want to surf in Australia," he said, grinning at the feel of her fingers linked with his. Patrick was barely buzzing, but he was in that everything just feels good place. He gently moved a lock of hair from Susan's face and tucked it behind her ear as she talked.

"Airplanes are fun. I used to fly back and forth during the summer with my parents to New York. That's where my da is from." Patrick smiled at her, a strange warm feeling in his chest. "You should do it. Fly wherever you want, but you should really do it."

Patrick laughed and looked up at the ceiling as well. She was so adorable! He was glad he could share this first experience with her. He wanted to make sure it was a good one. "Because you're high, Susie," he said with a broad smile and a laugh.

"Ooo Australia I wouldn't mind going there," she said with a grin as she looked at him. She felt so comfortable and relaxed here with him. She liked the feeling of his hand in hers it was nice. She ran her thumb along his hand as she spoke. The feeling of his fingers brushing hair from her face left her feel calm and content.

"I would be too scared to go on a plane alone." Susan said as she looked at the fan. It was true the pure concept of being stuck somewhere on a plane scared her. "I wouldn't mind seeing the world though."

Susan heard the laughter and turned to face Patrick and giggled. "I am?" She sort of made it a question but it was also just a comment. She giggled again as she slipped her hand from his and rolled onto her side and propped her head up with her hand. She looked at him with a grin as she giggled again because apparently she couldn't stop. She covered her face with her hand and placed her head on his chest as she laughed.

Patrick grinned as they laid there talking. Susan was just an awesome girl. He'd always felt comfortable around her. "We should go together then! I've got some frequent flier miles stored up. We could go to Australia and see kangaroos!" The very idea sounded so fun.

He watched her giggle and couldn't help but laugh himself. Patrick liked hearing her laugh. He ran a hand through her hair when she rested her head on his chest. "You have really soft hair," he said smiling softly.

"Ooo lets," she was very excited about that idea. "Kangaroos would be awesome to see." Yup she liked that idea as it sounded like a lot of fun. She liked lying here with Patrick he was very comfortable person to be around, she felt safe around him.

"Mmm thank you," she said as she closed her eyes as he started to run his fingers through her hair. "That feels nice," she said but her sweet almost sigh filled tone was interrupted by a snort of a laugh. She grinned at Patrick as she moved position again and lay her head on his shoulder and snuggled up to him. Yup she was very relaxed and comfortable here. She placed her hand on his chest and started to trace a pattern. She giggled every now or then due to a word she would write on his chest that sounded funny to her.

"Oh and koalas!" Patrick liked koalas. They were cute and fuzzy and he liked how they had those little tufts of hair that stuck out of their ears. It was sort of funny. "Maybe we can even meet Crocodile Dundee or that guy that wrestles alligators."

Patrick continued to play with her hair. Occasionally he'd lift a few strands to see how the light played off the color of her hair. It was really pretty. He wished a moment that his hair was some neat color besides boring brown. He smiled when she snuggled into him and placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head. He hadn't had a girl to snuggle up to in a while. He sort of missed it. Not that he'd ever really thought about Susan that way before. She was his friend. His very pretty, sweet friend.

He tried to figure out what she was writing on his chest. He was never good at figuring that out. He laughed along with her. "What are you writing on my chest?"

"Oh yes the guy that wrestles alligators who ever he is." Susan said which a shrug off her shoulders. "It would be exciting to see that and scary." It was a nice thought to go to Australia. "I could also watch you surf cause you won't get me doing that."

Had she been her normal self she would have questioned the kiss on the head but right now she didn't care and she sort of like the affection. She liked being snuggled up to Patrick it was nice and she still sort of smelled of coconut.

"The lyrics to the Yellow Submarine." Susan laughed loudly as she looked up at him and let her hand just rest on his chest. "It is suck in my head." She bit her lip as she looked up at him. "It is a funny song."

"That would be awesome. I could even do the the thing with the hang glider and the speed boat. I can't remember what it's called right now," he said thoughtfully. Patrick scratched his stomach idly while he thought about it.

He was really enjoying snuggling with Susan. Snuggling in his opinion was something that people just didn't do enough. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and gave her a quick squeeze.

Patrick grinned at her. "You are so cute when you're stoned!" He laughed and snugged her again. "It is a funny song though. I like I am the Walrus and The Octopus's Garden song." He started humming the latter.
