Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Hermione Granger and Ginny Weasley.
What: Hermione needs some advice.
Where: Ginny's flat.
When: Evening
Rating: G
Status: Incomplete

Having wanted an opinion on what Ginny thought Mrs.Weasley would enjoy Hermione apparated to a secluded area near Ginny's flat. She knew that Ginny was going to tell her that she didn't need to bring anything, but the butterflies in Hermione's stomach told her otherwise. She was fretting for no reason at all. Despite it all she knew that Molly would be more than happy at the news. That was if they told everyone. It seemed Ron was a bit hesitant. Hermione still wasn't quite clear what was going to happen when they arrived.  Although, Harry seemed to think there would be plenty of teasing and obviousness. Hermione couldn't exactly see Ron being very obvious about their new situation and she certainly would be the epitome of discreet.

Not to mention Hermione had to talk to Ginny about Ron. And not only Ron she had to talk to Ginny about Harry. Despite Harry's insistence that he was fine she knew very well that he wasn't. She knew that if there was anyone who could talk to Harry it would be Ginny. At least she hoped so. Harry tended to get angrier quicker at Hermione's gentle prodding.  Maybe when the two combined their powers they could come up with a productive plan.

Dressed down in a pair of jeans and light blue t-shirt she stepped out from her little hiding spot. Before anything else she brushed a few pieces of dirt from her jeans. She hadn't exactly mentioned to Ginny that she would be showing up, but she was almost certain that her friend wouldn't mind the impromptu company. Hand raised she knocked loudly on the door, hoping that her friend was even home. Hermione really hadn't thought much of this out. It seemed to be something that she was doing a lot lately.

"Oh bloody hell." Ginny swore, making no effort to hide the natural reaction she had to roll her eyes at her friend. "It might not be that bad. It's Ron. He's know for being an oblivious git, and he has no manners either."

"You need to talk to him. Because if he was kidding? He can tell you why. If he wasn't he can explain it a bit better than I ever could. And if its something else? He could tell you that as well. I'm an outsider to this, and since its my brother I might not be the best sort to give advice. Not that I mind doing it - everyone should have someone to go to with problems - but its hard to be a biased observer."

Hermione frowned at the foul language. Had it been Ron she would have corrected him. But seeing as how Ginny was helping her and she wasn't Ron she thought twice about it. But it didn't stop the frowning.

"I suppose if I see him I could always try and talk to him." She took another sip, staring off for a moment. The different scenarios flying through her head. It could go several ways, some of which she wasn't enjoying. But Ginny was right. He was Ron and he did tend to be oblivious. Shaking her head, as if to rid herself of the thoughts, she glanced at Ginny.

"Are you sure that I shouldn't bring anything for your mother?"

"You'll see him." she replied, tucking a stay piece of hair behind her ear. "Probably even go on another date or two. People do that on occasion in relationships you know." Not that Ginny really could say much, she and Harry didn't actually go out in public that often. Generally their "dates" were spent in one of their flats by themselves, not that she minded most of the time. Harry hated being in public, and while she often bugged him about it? Ginny usually didn't mind just spending time alone with him at his house.

"Nothing in the way of food. I don't think you should bring anything, your presence should be more than enough for my Mum."

"I, well ..of course I'll see him again. I just meant within the next few days. I'm never sure how much work I'll have. Somedays I have much more than others." She hadn't meant to make it seem like her work was more important thatn Ron, but her work was a safety blanket. It was something she was really good at and she hardly ever had to worry about failing. All she had to do was push forward and re-work her thinking.

Her head tilted slightly to the right. "I just feel like I should be bringing something else. Maybe some flowers. But then that might be a clear indicator to your brothers and I just know how they can be. They'll just start in on me right away about this whole thing and it'll just spiral out of control!" She was rambling. Perhaps she was more concerned with Ron's brothers than she was with his mother.
