The past week had been a mess. Terry had tried more than anything to be patient and loving when James was sick. Actually, he had pretty much succeeded. Then he had went to tell off the Coach and that was when things got awkward. How was Terry to know that the Coach also liked Disney? Or that he would think Terry's lack of caring for football meant he just needed to be educated? He could hardly do anything when the Coach took to ruffling his hair and Terry had found himself inviting the man over for dinner. A couple times, actually.
Unfortunately, it seemed James didn't like it. Terry could tell as much. So he usually tried to meet the Coach elsewhere, but tonight... Well, it wasn't his fault that Terry had come out of the shower, waiting for James to come home, and only found a knock on the door. Always the gracious host, he had invited the Coach in and decided to tell him tales of when James was in school. Excluding the magic, of course.
"So then it came up that he hadn't gone missing again, he had just gotten so drunk he couldn't make it back to school." Terry smiled, running a hand through his hair.
