"Yeah, no problem," Christina said, waving it off. "She's a great little kidlet. I just hope I'm doing okay with her. I don't want to screw her up or anything."
Partly because the baby didn't deserve that -- nobody did -- and partly because Dylan didn't deserve it, either. He hadn't said much about the situation he'd come from -- nothing more than a few stray things in passing, nothing really important -- but she'd put together enough to figure out that the kind of family he'd come from? Meant that his daughter was pretty much the most important person in his world.
