"Hey," Alex nodded. He set the pizza down on a crate, and opened a cooler to stick the beer inside. He took out two bottles, handing one over to Michael before he moved the pizza over to the cooler and then sat down opposite Michael. The alien was looking mighty fine, in Alex's eyes, but then he was always a sight to see. The sight of him sent Alex's insides into a whirlwind, fluttering with unbridled desire than he had to swallow down and lock away in the furthest recesses of his mind.
"Nice day," he said, glancing up at the sky. He didn't care about the weather, not really. But it was something to say. A distraction. A subject that had nothing to do with the elephant in the room with them, even though they were out in the open. That was for the best. Walls were stifling. And they both knew what would happen if they were inside the airstream.
