Still on one knee, Creed looked at his knuckles grinding onto the floor. Bones and flesh surged with indigo colored energy from the elbow down. The predator closed his eyes, and used the Tesseract to see across galaxies once more.
“…She’s not afraid of that woman…” he growled in regards to his daughter. Victor knew her well enough to read her body language from a galaxy away. Clarice was nervous, guarded, but not coaxed by fear.
“Even with him there. Don’t know what kinda scheme that big fucker is up to. I’m gonna pay him back for one uppin’ me th’ way he did…but not today.”
The mutant sneered, snorted, and kept calm by thinking of more cherished people he knew.
“Loki…” Creed sighed, when he channeled the Tessaract to look at the Jotun. “No idea what that freaky lookin’ pony is…but it’s makin’ ya’ smile.
Twisted fucker; you’ll need ta’ tell me why, when I see ya’ again.”
The roulette of loved ones and enemies finally settled on one image: The Allfather. Creed’s back and shoulders grew tense as he thought of the hex that scorched his bones.
“He’d expect me ta’ run… Lick my wounds an’ hide… He wouldn’t expect another assault so soon!”
And now, Sabretooth was smiling.
“Th’ element of surprise is on my side, an’ I ain’t gonna waste it. The Hunt….is far from over! When he dies, I win. And when I win, everyone else that matters to me wins.”
“You got a point, though: I can’t face ‘em or another squadron of them with just my cock an’ claws. He paused and looked at over his shoulder at the magpie. “These Ass-Guards wear armor that shouldn’t be so hard fer’ me ta’ cut through. I want some of that, but there’s not enough time for some Ye-Olde-Blacksmith to forge me some gear. So… I’ll just need to take somebody else's!”
Uncertain of how this would resolve, Creed began speaking both to the bird and the entity known as the Tesseract. He focused to keep a constant watch on the Allfather’s every move.
“Birdie. Tess’. Time to do some recon work! Show me a man big like me, built like me, with the best kind of Ass-Guard armor you’re gonna get this side of the cosmos!”
A pause, then a grin followed by narrowed eyes.
“…An’ it oughta have a cape. No point harnessin’ the power of some billion year old treasure without one.”
