Odin stood calm and impassive, watching the feral go through the stages of grief. It was necessary if he meant to have Creed as his sword against Loki and the Trickster's children.
Denial. Anger. Bargaining would come. Then depression...and finally acceptance.
He would expect no less from a man that Loki would call ally. It was a cycle he'd seen in Loki many times over the centuries and perhaps one he'd see again...soon. As the bellowing went quiet Odin swept a hand, banishing away the wall of containing magic which guarded him from Creed's rage. "Aside from the slaughter you brought to my guardsmen and warriors...I have no reason to bind you. As for the crimes you have committed, I lay the blame for them at Loki's feet, as he sent you here for that purpose. He wanted you to slaughter, and you have. Like so many others, you fell victim to his venomous words and silvery manipulations." He paused. "You and I seek a similar goal. You wish to protect your daughter and I to save my realm. To do this Loki must be dealt with." He took a deep breath. "I will gain no favors from my people by releasing you thus...yet contrary to what Loki would have you believe...I am not without mercy."
He remained where he stood, calm and drawn tall as he looked toward where Creed crouched forlornly. He was the very image of a merciful, if weary, King. "I have just lost my own son, his life snuffed out early this morn. I will not keep a man from his child where there is no cause and I have none to keep you from yours." He took another deep breath, letting it out in a slow sigh. "I know Loki would have you believe that I keep him from his children out of spite and that my treatment of them is a form of torture simply for my own merriment." His gaze was pointed and dark with resentment. "...it is not so. I keep him from them because his madness demands that they be free, no matter the ruin they are destined to cause. He has committed countless crimes, burned worlds, and murdered innocents, all to save those which would cause even his own doom. His fatherhood came at a heavy price as it drove him irreparably mad. It would seem that his madness costs us all for it brings misery to us all."
He let his gaze rest on Creed once more, his eye locking onto the feral. "You wish to save her? I understand this, as any father would. I will help you, if you so wish it. I only ask that you help me in return."
