"Father..." Sleipnir moaned, his shuddering relaxing as the bridle began to slowly abate its torture. "Please...do not make promises you cannot keep." Loki jerked slightly in surprise and shame. "This will only stop when my service is forever done. You know this." The stallion took several deep breaths, calming further as the bridle finally relaxed on his head, no longer causing him jolts of pain. He continued to remind himself that he was a warrior of Asgard, the legendary steed of Odin. He would serve Odin until he died, he reminded himself and felt the bridle relax further. It was like a parasite, a thing that knew his thoughts and fed of them. He was long familiar with how to school his words and thoughts to keep the bridle tame. He continued the inner mantra that he was Odin's beast and a warhorse of Asgard. In his mind he convinced himself that to dishonor a bargain was against the laws of honor...and though Heimdall had been loyal in the past, that would not stop him from seeking justice for the Watcher's betrayal.
After a long moment the stallion raised his head, pulling away from Loki's calming embrace as he turned to look at Ororo and Kurt once more. When he spoke again his voice shook, the happiness that he'd felt now a dead memory and a cruel joke. His posture, once regal and calm, seemed to vibrate with tension and barely concealed anger. "I must soon return to my master." The stallion ground out, his teeth once more clinking on the bridle's bit in his mouth. Loki took a breath, opening his mouth to protest. "I will return to Asgard...to my service. I have no control over who joins me. That is not within my purview."
Loki's mouth tightened into a grim line. He knew what the stallion's careful words meant. I can take you to Asgard, where your ally and our betrayer reside. He took a deep breath, his brow furrowed with pain and anger as the muscles in his jaw tightened visibly. He turned toward Kurt and Ororo as well. "It would appear...that there is a way to Asgard, where we may free Creed of his captivity. I know not where Clarice is, but Heimdall is also in Asgard and my answer that question...if given the proper incentive." The Trickster's eyes were venomous as he thought of just what he would do to Heimdall in return for this cruel use of his son.
