Loki's eyes narrowed slightly at the idea of speaking rationally to Thor. There had been no such conversation between he and his adoptive brother for years. Most of their conversations ended with blunt force trauma. He sighed. "If Creed's arrival in Asgard attracts the attention I think it will, there will be little to no opportunity for talk. There was a creature there that I once called ally...and it too, hungers for death." Sleipnir's head turned to look at his father in surprise. Even the stallion had not known of the existence of this creature. Surely if it wanted to spread death he would have heard of it by now.
Loki's face tightened, as if in pain, and he put a hand to his forehead. "It has no name...only memory. There was a time that I was nothing more than a doll and it awoke memories in me that Odin tried to keep subverted. Odin tried to make me forget that my children even existed...the magpie gave me those memories back." He shook his head, as if to clear it and Sleipnir nudged his shoulder comfortingly.
"I know not why it turned to me, only that Creed is much like myself. He hungers for his child and is maddened by capture to a point of slaughter. I do not know this creature's origins or full agenda, only that it seemed in concordance with my own. It made many promises but was only able to fulfill part of those promises before I was discovered and driven from Asgard. I believe it will turn to Creed as an agent for its endgame...I know I would." The Trickster's teeth ground together, lip curling in a snarl. "The magpie will find him. If it has freed Victor from captivity it will encourage him to kill. If he has begun a slaughter, happily, he will be easy to find...and difficult to approach without becoming embroiled in the feral's battle. The longer we wait the more likely it is that the magpie will free him from his bonds and encourage him to fight. We have no time to wait for Thor."
