Well that was certainly a challenge. And Rob was not one to turn down a challenge...
But still his attention was caught as he realized that the conversation was now about him. Send him home? This man - this alien - could get him home? How? That wasn't supposed to be possible. Then again this guy was called a TIMElord for a reason, right? This was an opportunity... wasn't it? to go home? But... he'd seen the documents. He couldn't. And ... even if he didn't, did he want to?
These were weighty matters that he didn't want to look for right now, which was good because attention was back on the doc. "So we get to walk around an alien space ship? You really have all the connections, Harkness." Rob joked around but this was clearly a serious matter.
The Doctor nodded at Jack. "Well then I suppose that the sooner we get started the better." He glanced around at the people assembled. "I'll just pop up and get set up and land her down here. Be back in a few minutes." And with that the man in the coat was gone leaving the members of Torchwood in the conference room.
Rob was the first one to break the silence. "Interesting fellow..."
Martha just shook her head. Didn't say anything. She wasn't going to either... not now. She didn't want to verbalize the fact that keeping Jack and him separate was probably the best idea right now. Why couldn't things just go smoothly? ONCE!?
