EPISODE 1: Getting to know you (DETAILS)
We are impatient. We are not waiting for Monday nor are we waiting for next week. Here are your secret event details. Keep in mind the quotes list will be posted later today. You will choose one of the quotes from the list, and the ST will reply to you with a certain something. If you haven't put in your quote yet, it's okay. Just reply to the quote post. It is all right if two people choose the same quote.

* The event itself, meaning the party-style post, will go up tomorrow. Meaning Saturday, October 2nd posted by the ST and open to everyone. If you're unavailable this weekend do not despair, this thread will be open for as long as it needs to be.

* A separate post/reply from the ST, in the party thread, will be made when dawn comes.

* If you needed to get anything done before the event, feel free to put up a placeholder today. It's also all right to of course backdate it, but we're just saying the placeholder option is there if you like things to 'look' chronologically in order.

YOUR MISSION: should you choose to accept it... )

for mages
I thought you guys might find this handy for thinking of rotes. Magic spheres can be endlessly combined for various magical effects. Some ideas can be found at this link!

http://gaming.geoectomy.net/findrotes.php

Just put in your sphere numbers and BAM. Hella magic ideas. I'm adding this to the mage directory... how did I forget this!

HEY GUYZ
So, regarding the mage thread of epically confusing (yet highly amusing and awesome.) proportions as has come to my attention a few times now. I have some suggestions:

1. We can assume all mages + werewolves (even if you haven't posted, you can squeeze in to say it happened.) have met at least visually. In this way, we can move on from the initial meeting, and go forward with fun and story.

2. If anyone who hasn't posted there wants to be known by this party, just post. Or!

3. If there is something specific you wanted to achieve in this thread aside from an initial meeting, or something you wanted to work out with another character, you can do so by commenting here (so everyone knows what happened, and we can assume it did.) or telling me that this plan sucks, and that I'm retarded.

4. Of course you can still continue in the mage thread, this doesn't mean it's closed. Just giving the option of moving forward!

What say you?

Announcement (1 of 2) FRIDAY October 8th: Volunteer/Non-Volunteer event

Episode 1: "Getting to know you."

ATTEN-SHUN: Though the precise details of what is actually going to be occurring in this episode will not be revealed until Monday, October 4th (to give time to finish out some plot threads.) -- volunteering begins now to participate in the event. However, if you are a vampire, your volunteering is not necessary. You are automatically involved.

How does this work? Characters will choose a quotation, either something their character would say, or a quotation their character likes. It can be as obvious, as obscure, as zany, as anything you want. If you want to participate, comment to this entry, WHICH IS SCREENED, with your quote. After all quotes are collected, we will create another entry with all of them, without revealing whose is whose. From that point, you guys will choose one of the quotes. Thus, choosing someone who is not yourself....

And that is all we're saying for now.

We aren't sure how insanely smooth and swimmingly this organization will go, but we will damn well make it work! Let the quotes begin! APPLY NOW!

IMPORTANTE
We will be accepting WEREWOLVES to the campaigns of The Velvet Shadow. They'll be linked and lumped in likely with both mages and occasionally vampires. They'll be WoD based, again of course, loosely.

For now, info on them (in short.) can be seen here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werewolf:_The_Apocalypse

Until all the info is tossed together into a mod entry. You can also find a lot of information online by googling: werewolves the apocalypse.

dear my vampiric loves sam & trenton,

i was thinking whenever i put up lily being outside getting pretty much trampled, that i'll write her in and then out (meaning 1,2,3.) out for the count while the boys mop the floor, or get themselves made into mops. she can prob take out like... one, maybe two of the bad guys. not fully into incapacitation mind you, and there's 5 of'em. this way i can npc your opposition. i'm being efficient, you see.

what sayest the both of thee?

HEAR YE HEAR YE
Friends! Country(wo)men! Lend me your eyes!

The VS Mods have decided that TVS will operate (although not chiefly.) on episodic "missions" and "assignments" and basically shit to do all the time, though in a pressure-less manner, and of course with character rest. Kind of like a television series, except involving our characters in such a way that there are completions to little stories, and never-ending stories, too. There will be spooky, zany, and interesting episodes. All sorts of shit.

After we're done with this current first part of the assignments and missions, the first/second parts of episodes will be posted and discussed. Well, the blueprint. You'll see. We have a gdoc of awesome currently in the workds that will rock your ferocious high heels instead of socks, because socks mostly suck.

Sincerely,
Your Dear Ones!

P.S. Be sure to add [info]tvsdotnet to see rumors, post to the casino forums (you can do so anonymously if you put "posted anonymously"), and possibly maybe get clues about future episodes posted from the mod journal.

vampires & ghouls

You're at a poker table with other vampires and ghouls that you either already know or you don't. Maybe you know them from that fucked up dream you just had, or before the convention. How'd you fall asleep at a poker table? That was pretty stupid of you. Or did you fall asleep at all? Was what happened real...

The Card Dealer starts a new hand... but...

Are you even in the mood?

mages

You wake up in your bed, things could've been much worse for you... trust me.

You wake up thinking that everything you've just experienced was a dream. A vivid, vibrant, very realistic dream. Disoriented, you peel yourself out of the bed and have a look around at the hotel room you practically forgot ever being in. It was only one night you were gone, but it felt like years.

That's when you check yourself for any scar, any clue, any thing that could be ...

And then there's a knock at the door. A letter arrives. It's scooted underneath. If you aren't blind or reluctant, it clearly reads:

it was real
