Who:Anne and Henry What: Talk, flirting, and perhaps more Where: The castle gardens and mazes When: A week or so after Hever, Anne has returned to court.
Anne had arrived back at court just over a week ago at the King's request. Mary was recovering nicely at Hever and Anne was getting board with country life. How Mary seemed to enjoy the quiet monotony she would never understand. Anne needed constant entertainment...or at least a chance of scenerey now and then.
She was back in the employement of the Queen, and was catching up on all the gossip of the court. Apparently quite a lot had happened since she'd been away, including the Princess Margaret being send to Portugal to marry the King and Charles Brandon's promotion to Duke. She probably shouldn't be surprised by the later. The King generally reward those who were loyal and close to him, and Brandon being his best friend, it made sense he should come away with a title at some point. And Margaret was a Princess, it was her duty to her country to marry well...even if the man was old enough to be her grandfather.
Taking a break from the Queen's chambers, Anne decided to take a walk in the gardens. It was a lovely autum day, not too hot and not yet too cold. If she hadn't spent so much time in a carriage lately, she might go for a ride, but she decided she rather walk. The gardens were lovely this time of year, and besides...one never knew who one might bump into and get lost in a corner of one of the many mazes with.
