WHO: Catherine and Margaret WHAT: Catherine tries to comfort her WHEN: Before Margaret leaves for Portugal WHERE: Catherine's rooms
Catherine knew that Margaret was less than thrilled about her upcoming nuptials with the King of Portugal. But she was determined to bring her some small comfort by reminding her that not all arranged marriages turned out so badly. So she'd invited Margaret to her rooms, and had some warm spiced ale waiting for her, one of her ladies playing a soothing hymn on the lute while another read aloud from Augustine's Confesiones.
As Margaret was announced, Catherine smiled up at her, rising. "Sister," she greeted, accent thick. "Come...sit by me."
