Now that Torchwood Miracle Day is over, those of you who's canon point -- whether it's an actual canon character or au versions of past canon chars -- are "Miracle Day" now have a chance to play out the events from the series.
How this is going to work:
• Start from the beginning! Literally. The beginning! From the very first scenes that suggest the miracle is starting. That is where the plot starts.
• Pairing off: For canon characters, you're free to do any scenes from the series that involve your character and another character. You don't have to stick to chronology for these. There are plenty of Rex/Esther scenes to play out, Jack/Esther, Jack/Rex, etc. You don't need to have every canon character around for this part. As always, mind your IC/OOC and don't bully other people for not waiting for you.
• Group Scenes: These will be played when the plot progresses. Since there are only a handful of these, they will be played chronologically from the beginning.
• Contact: Our Jack for this plot is ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) capnjharkness. All placements and character involvement are up to his writer, so if you are playing a character that isn't canon to TW or the Miracle and want to get involved -- leave a comment in this post and I'll point Jack to answer it for you.
Any and all other questions involving this plot are to be left in this post. For those of you who aren't caught up with the series, be warned, there are likely to be HUGE SPOILERS in the comments. Again, SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS. With that said, get crackin' and have fun! |

Hello all! My name is Jules. I'm new here and I'm going to be joining with Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. Though I admittedly know nothing about Doctor Who, the idea of having someplace casual to RP sounded pretty good to me, and I'm excited to get to play with all of you!
For those of you who have never read the books, Katniss is a survivor of the Hunger Games, a competition which forcibly sets 24 children against each other in an arena to fight to the death. She's also a traumatized child soldier who can shoot straighter than anyone she knows. |

As most of you already know, I live on the East Coast and am currently getting battered by the tempermental Hurricane Irene. It is currently a category 1 and I'm not too concerned about flooding or anything of that nature, but I am concerned that my power will go out. And in the event of that, direct all of your questions/concerns etc. to MOD #1 in the drop box.
For all East Coasters: feel free to comment this post with all of your characters to let your SLP's know. That way everyone knows where you are just in case you disappear for several days at a time due to loss of power.
Also, be safe, keep your fingers crossed and God speed to all of you in the path of this dangerous storm. |

Hi there! My name's Ans and I joined up a little bit ago but haven't actually done anything yet. I'm bringing in not one, but two Masters from Doctor Who. Because I am completely insane.
(Also I totally do not know IJ markup because I came over from LJ, oh god)
syncopath is Saxon-era Simm!Master, coming to you just after Last of the Time Lords via some unknown resurrection.
time_killer is Wastelands-era Simm!Master, or as I like to call him: Wastey <3<3. Coming after End of Time, where I assume that he made it out of that pesky Time Lock after years of torture at the hands of Rassilon or something.
The Master, for those of you who don't watch the show, is basically a megalomaniacal Time Lord who used to be pals with the Doctor but now lives to make him suffer. And try to take over the universe. He's as old or older than the Doctor, and having similarly survived the Time War (everything from Gallifrey has either 'Time' or 'of Rassilon' in its title; have you noticed?), he's more loopy than his earlier incarnations. Also, Wastey is sort of. Well. He's a cannibal. With superpowers. I'm sorry :/

resistancepilot Blair Williams here who is a soldier under John Connor's rule. lol Well something to that effect. She's part of the Resistance. And will be post movie.
futureprotector Cameron Phillips. A Terminator who was sent back in time to protect the Connors. Mainly John. She'll be coming in before Derek's death as well.

She's being yanked post the movie for Prince Caspian and I follow the movies more than the books. So she's going to be totally confused since she's beng pulled from a post WW2 Europe ino a modern day version.

Jasper Whitlock, pulled from the point in his past before he met Alice, literally JUST before so he's at that point in his existence where he's figured out that he can't keep going on eating humans, but he's not yet figured out how to stop. So anyone wish to help him in his search for his lost humanity?
Amelia Pond-Williams, pulled from after the Christmas special but before the start of season 6. I'm thinking just after the Red Nose Day short. There linked to parts 1 & 2 for ya if you haven't seen it. She's the "real" Amy as opposed to the "Flesh" Amy, and she IS pregnant, but she's not quite figured it out yet. |

| Rule Clarification - Playable Characters |

The question came up about what qualifies as a playable character. Since this game doesn't currently allow for originals, we realized some clarification might need to be made about what is and isn't playable, especially since the rules aren't very specific. We didn't want to outline too many rules for this game because it is low-key, but the clarification had to be made in the name of fairness.
Just as a general rule, if a character is only mentioned briefly once in a book or never appears on screen in a series or movie (or only for five minutes), they're not playable at this time. AU versions are allowed because those particular characters still have established canon basis and a personality from which to draw characterization from.

| Crazy Little Hacker Anyone? |

Her voice got to me so here's Edward from Cowboy Bebop as PB Bryce Dallas Howard. She's now 20 and is about 6 years post events of the anime so she's offically very confused about being in the past. But she's kooky, mega friendly and is also a genius behind a computer (she is one of the most feared hackers in her actual time after all).
Thread's now up and totally up for plots for her and the rest of my gang (Luna, Violet and Parker)!
ETA: Possible plot idea, I was thinking given the time period the anime is set in maybe one of the Doctors or Jack actually has crossed paths with her at some point? If only for someone to get what she means about the Gate accident especially. |

Its Juliet and I'll just blame HP 7.2 for her but here's Luna Lovegood. She's yanked from about 6 months post the events of book/movie 7 and well she's a little more screwed up than usual. The Rift grabbed her from outside St.Mungo's where she was going for physical therapy due to events in Malfoy Manor (my personal hunch from book 6). So if anyone wants to find what looks to be a quirky art student with a brace on her wrist she'll have a thread up very soon. |

And Rose Tyler doctors_plus_1 I've yet to place her canon yet in case anyone wanted a Rose, I'm happy playing her any time in the canon or even after.

Its Juliet and I come bearing a new voice (along with still having Parker) in Violet Baudelaire. She hails from the Lemony Snicket novels and is taken about a year post "The End". So she's now 18 and trying to locate Klaus and Sunny while attending university. But cue a little problem called the Rift: she'll be pulled from London and dumped into Cardiff (losing about 6 months in the process).
But if anyone from the good guys would like to find a happy little science geek she'll have a thread open very soon.
Her PB is circa the movies since Emily Browing makes the perfect Violet I think. |

So I just found out I'm six weeks pregnant and am going through all of the fun of that. What does this mean? Sleep. Lots. Almost constantly, even though I don't want it. Still, I'd like to RP, I'm just a little spacy when it comes to starting threads and might need prodding.
