"I'll show him..." Lois breathed, pressing the button for the elevator. With a sour look, she stepped into the car when the doors slid open and settled in as the doors closed behind her. She set down her things which freed up her hands, giving her a moment adjust her suit and put on her matching suit jacket. She closed her eyes and breathed, bringing her heart rate back to a normal level. She wasn't going to let Perry brush her off that easily. That was why she was so revered as a reporter.
Opening her eyes, Lois gathered her things and exited the car when it landed gently in the lobby. She stepped out after the ding base her farewell, and her heels clicked against the floor as she walked through the lobby and towards the door. She pushed the door open, meaning to head to her car to find a scoop before she noticed people screaming and running as well as gunfire. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped a bit as she lingered in the threshold of he Daily Planet.
She had to get up there.
Turning on a heel Lois rushed over to the counter, handed the girl there her things as she'd done many times before, that look gleaming in her eye. "Thanks Mary!" Lois breathed before the woman rushed back to the elevator. She crawled back into the car and pressed the button for the topmost level that would take her to the roof.
She shifted with anticipation and chewed at her lip, wishing silently that the damned car would move a little faster. Finally Lois reached the roof and when the doors slid open she didn't hesitate for a second to get out.
She almost ran to the Daily Planet news helicopter that was already running on the helipad. "Wait for me, Ricky!!" Lois called, clothes and hair instantly fluttering as she ran to the chopper. Ricky wasn't in the helicopter. He'd stepped away and Lois wasn't about to lose this scoop.
Looking around, Lois climbed into the drivers seat and leaned forward slightly, grasping the joystick of the helicopter. She had piloted helicopters and planes before, not extensively but enough to know the basics of manuvering the thing safely in the air and how to land.
With a smirk, Lois got the helicopter into the air and flew it around to where the scene was taking place, lifting her phone up with one hand to capture the events on the device, steering with the other hand.
"I have to get closer..." She breathed, taking a risk on moving the helicopter closer to the ones that had gone haywire. She made sure to get everything on film.
Of course, by getting closer Lois put herself in the line of fire. Again. She didn't care. Whatever it took for scoop. She maneuvered the helicopter closer, only to have one of the other choppers turn and begin firing at her. Her eyes widened and she tried to get out of the way but she wasn't fast enough. The DP helicopter was shot in the propeller and it began to blare sound and beep. The chopper itself swerved in the air and Lois screamed as the chopper began to nose dive and plummet.
She managed to close her phone and slide it into her suit pocket, before closing her eyes. She didn't want to die, but it was looking very grim.
