WHEN: Last night/today
IC/OOC LOG: Therefore feel free to respond with what your character said or did either in prose or description.
Lacking a troupe of House Elves and other sundry helpers, James' self-service cleaning techniques were poor indeed. The once grand old library in the old Potter manor house was shabby and dusty. But at least the sheets had been pulled from the light fixtures and a fire crackled in the hearth. For standing more or less abandoned and derelict for 10 years, was doing all right. It didn't look haunted, anyway.
As far as his once-and-future friends were concerned, and as far as they were bonded by their once-and-future purpose to end the reign of terror of the once-and-future Dark Lord and his underlings (as well as Dumbledore, never forgetting Dumbledore), James kept his mind focused. He smiled, he was kind. But he was driven.
"Ok, I want to talk to you about three things.
First -- horcruxes, everybody. Horcruxes are what Voldemort used to survive his first death. He's living on unicorn blood now, attempting to prolong himself. He has one stashed, and maybe he has more. But if we find and destroy the Horcruxes, then we find and destroy Voldemort. This is what Regulus and Sirius gave us.
Second -- Death Eaters. Bellatrix and her crew must obviously be supporting Voldemort. And they've been quite so far. I doubt it's going to stay that way. How can we get out ahead of them in a way that does not include 'set fire to everything' -- though, Marlene, that'd be nice.
Third -- Dumbledore. How is he in power, and how can we upset that? An election is coming up and Bagnold's seat is in jeopardy. Do we go with that? How do we go with that? I don't know if there is a candidate we want to back, specifically since we're officially a 'sub-national organisation' and these disappearances ... well. It stinks like before.
So I want to get your thoughts. And I want you all to work constructively. If you haven't got anything useful to say, eat a mini corndog and don't touch the stuffed monkey."
