Puppy didn't like the continued eye contact but he was devoted to Rabbit and all he did to protest his being held back was a whine. He kept a watchful eye from behind his boy and it was clear he'd lunge if Rabbit was threatened at all. This dog had removed throats from people who had come Rabbit before now, he wasn't going to shirk if Rabbit needed him.
Rabbit seemed relieved that Puppy hadn't frightened the man, petting the dog's soft head. "Yes, he's doing his job, he's a good boy. He'll know you're friendly soon." he promised. He looked down at himself as the stranger did, not worried by what he saw. "I'm Rabbit, Sir." he introduced himself, holding his hand out to shake because he'd been trained that you did that to say hallo.
