In the hour that Sharon had been digging up whatever information she could, Dean did some digging of his own. He checked every place in Breck that Jo would have visited and even got into her apartment to scan her laptop for any clues. In his life, whenever something bad happened, it was always the worst case scenario, so he had no doubt that she was just gone, just like Sharon had said, but he had to be sure. He had to follow through before he jumped straight to panic mode. He treated this like any other case. Maybe she just needed a break from this pace and went on a road trip or something. It wouldn't be too surprising. Yet the more he he delved into the matter, the less clues he came up with. Just like everyone had been saying, it was like she vanished.
He headed back to his apartment, thankful that his roommates were out. He cracked open a bottle of Tullemore Dew and poured himself a glass as the reality of everything slowly started to sink in. He'd only had a few sips when he heard a knock at the door. Not wasting any time, he got up and answered it, both relived and anxious to see Sharon standing there. He moved aside to let her in. "What'd you find?"
