"I do hope you aren't blaming me for half of London seeing you assaulted on a busy street. By the time someone asked me about it, there were rhumors you had been stabbed, ravished, and run away to a convent- possibly after a failed elopement," Angel said with a pained look in her blue eyes. It was true enough- someone had certainly beaten her to telling everyone about Patience's encounter, although their version had been apparently rather more elaborate. She took Patience's hand. "I am sorry. I do know it was naughty to speak of it all without your express permission but I only thought it better to say what really happened than let the wilder speculation continue."
