She didn't want to think about her mother, nor did she want to entertain the idea of her father regretting his relationship with her mother, if only because it could be so easily twisted into him not wanting to have had her and Jimmy. She knew it wasn't true so she banished those thoughts from her mind.
"I'm sorry, Papa." she said again, her hand having to come up to her head, as if it could ease the pain. "But I can't trust her, I don't care if she is the sweetest woman in the world, I can't trust her."
