She wanted to slap him, to shake him out of this current madness he had fallen into. They had never fought like this before, they had never got so personal before. If she wasn't so embroiled in the shouting match she might have tried a different and more sensible approach to show her worry for him and her fear of being pushed aside for his new woman. But she was her father's daughter and neither of them ever backed down from a fight.
"FINE!" she went to the door, but then turned to look at him. "I hope she makes you real happy, old man, because she's the only woman that's going to be living under your roof from now on!" and with that she slammed the door behind her hard enough to make the walls shake and nearly send the thing tumbling from it's hinges. A few moments later there was another slammed door, the sound of Delia leaving the house completely.
