Slater slammed his fist down hard on the desk and stood, knocking his chair backwards in a rage. "DON'T you talk to me like I'm some common fucking fool!" he shouted, incensed and furious that she could be so cheeky towards him. "And don't you DARE bring your slut of a mother into this! I am not some croney old man easily fooled into trusting people! I am NOT in need of protection! I have known Vivian almost four years and that's longer than it took me to get with your mother! You are not the wisest girl in the world, nor do you know everything about me and you have no fucking CLUE about relationships! I don't need permission from you, I don't need you to approve of everything I do! You don't need to KNOW everything I do, yet you expect me to spill everything about my private life to you so you can see if you like it?" Slater gave a cold laugh and shook his head. "Heaven knows you don't tell me everything about your sordid little activities, yet you have the downright CHEEK to accuse me of.....!"
After giving the table another punch, almost denting the wood, Slater stilled. His breaths were coming thick and fast and he glared at Delia as if he didn't know her as his daughter. "Let me summarise for you, loud and clear. If you think so damn little of me as to not trust my judgement then get out of my sight."
