She smiled, although it didn't quite reach her eyes. "I know, Harry. But you were dead," she said without bitterness. At least he knew now... She was quiet too and reached for her glass. The danger was over for now anyway. The rest was easier. She took a sip, as she sort of relaxed herself back into being Mary and slipped the rest of it back to where it belonged.
"I don't want you to go have tea with him." She shook her head at that idea. "'sides, one of you would poison the cups. But, if you hate him so much, why do you want his kingdom? And if you only want rid o' him... Someone's got to rule, and if it ain't Slater it's only gonna be somethin' worse."
