She moved to sit but kept her eyes on him. "It's just so hard these days, harder than it ever has been before. The best of them are either engaged before they lose their first tooth, or they fancy boys or worse they've got some kind of disease, and I'm not going to risk myself like that. I may have to take more drastic measures, but I don't like that I would have to resort to that. But perhaps I am asking too much to find a rich man that I like, though they cannot all be so repulsive, can they?"
With a soft sigh she brought a hand up to the back of her neck, rubbing gently. "I would be perfectly happy to marry a man like you, Papa, but there don't seem to be any. It figures the perfect man would be my father and that he would be one of a kind."
