The police are looking for information concerning the corpse of a young woman retrieved from the river Thames this morning. The body, pulled from the water near Black Friars' Bridge at around seven, is believed to have expired some time between last night and the early hours of the morning, having drowned. The woman is of slender build, with red hair, and is believed to have worked at a prostitute in the London area. Any and all information concerning the potential identity of the woman, and anyone who may be involved with her death, is required by the constabulary, and those believing they may be of some use to the investigation should contact the local authorities at their earliest convenience. Also desired are reports of suspicious activities and movements on or around Black Friars' Bridge last night, or anywhere along the river banks. The public is thanked for their co-operation.
