Hopefully this is okay!
Truth be told, William was quite glad to be back in London. He'd spent the last several months on a boat in the Caribbean, helping the men keep a watchful eye on a few troublemakers that had decided to take up residence. Luckily for all involved, no one had decided to do anything foolish, which allowed the sailors to return home. And the sense of relief that William had felt when he set foot in his flat for the first time in all those months was tremendous. He could travel the world and see all sorts of amazing things, but London was still going to be where he hung his hat.
Rather than hit a pub (though that was very tempting) to celebrate his return home, William instead decided to simply take a walk around the city. There was always something changed when he went away for so long, but much of London stayed the same. Eventually, he found his way to one of the many parks in the area. A spur of the moment decision had him heading that direction instead of continuing down the street. Trees and grass beat cobbled road any day. With his hands behind his back, he was making his way through the park when something caught his eye. Or someone, rather. A girl, much younger than himself, dressed to the nines...climbing a tree.
His confused look turned into an amused smirk when she failed in her attempt to get to a branch, tumbling to the ground. He glanced to the side, catching the disapproving glances shot her way by the other park-goers, who no doubt disapproved of such an obviously upstanding girl's behaviour. So with a moments though, he made his way over to where she sat, glancing up at the tree before offering a hand to help her up. "You're giving these people quite a show, you realize."
