Piper stopped, slightly shocked at the touch. It wasn't that he wasn't used to such things. He was just engrossed in the performance and hadn't noticed Harry as he passed. It took a second to register what Harry said, and then Piper smiled to him. "Thanks," he said before continuing off to the where he needed to be for his next entrance to finish off the final act.
While he wasn't a fan of tragedies, Piper was enjoying himself. It wasn't his life that was the tragedy, just the lives of the characters. As such, he could handle it much better. He could separate himself from the character at the end of the night while getting into the character while performing. He made the point to understand the character as best he could while not taking anything to heart. It was, after all, not his life, and so long as it never was, he had no problems dealing with deeper things. In fact, he actually rather liked it. It was different and interesting and strangely fun, though he'd have preferred a comedy to a tragedy. But then, you had to have the bad, and he supposed if he could do both, it would make him more versatile. And while he never wanted to be an actor before, he thought he could really get into it if he kept doing these sorts--the deeper ones, the ones that felt more... proper to him somehow. A receptive audience was also very encouraging.
Steeling himself once more, Piper licked his lips and stepped onto the stage again. Yes, he thought he could really get into this acting thing after all. It was fun and, in his mind at least, he was clearly made for the spotlight.
