"You know I adore you Ann, and I do not wish to speak ill of your brother, but you are right. A narky little sod he definitely can be. And if I did have to choose, Harry would be the lesser of two evils, I must say," Constance said smiling. She laughed once more at the nudging. "You best be careful. Some might say I'm rubbing off on you."
They had a good friendship and were just themselves. Ann didn't judge how Constance lived her life, and Constance didn't fault her for her family or how she handled herself. They could just be themselves, and for Constance, that was rare.
"I think someplace close to Isabel's would be wonderful. I'd love for you to be close, both personally AND professionally," she said, her smile lighting up her face at the prospect of Ann being closer to her. "Let me write a few people and I will let you know as soon as I hear anything."
