Ann laughed. "My brother's alright. Sometimes he's a narky little sod but I can handle him better than Slater. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot barge pole, nor his grounds that he so merticulously guards!... 'ere, merticulously, that's a big word for me," she chuckled nudging her friend in the arm. It was rare she was so boisterous with anyone but Constance didn't judge and Ann didn't really need to maintain her bravado with her.
"I dunno why they think to divide the city, but being so close to the underworld as we are we gotta choose sides somehow. It'd be great if you could find me somewhere close to you, we could help each other out so to speak."
