"English?" Evonne prompted. Her English wasn't perfect, but she could tell it would be easier then having the girl struggle with her French. She stifled a yawn. "I'm fine. Just a rough night, that's all." Evonne attempted to tuck some unruly hair into the pile on top of her head, much to no avail. She was a mess. But there was work to be done, so her current state didn't matter.
"Lady Stanley..." Evonne said, looking around the room, which was filled with dress forms and garments in various states of completion. Evonne paused, then turned back to the girl. "It's nice to meet you, Mary Roper. I'm Evonne. Pardon me for forgetting my manors. Stanley..." Evonne turned back to the dress forms. She approached one and turned over the tag that was pinned to the garment. Seeing that it was the right one, she removed the tag and the sheet that covered Lady Stanley's dress.
