Charles's smile broadened at Lord Blake's more cheerful tone. While everyone was meant to be respectful, he doubted Lord Wexley would have wanted them all to stand around discussing somber things in somber tones.
"It was strict, yes, but time seemed to pass more quickly for me there once I was accustomed to everything. I think I shall always miss the library," Charles said. Indeed it had been much more extensive than the one at home. Some day he would work towards expanding his own library, once he actually had one he could rightly call his own.
