Daphne was knocked back to life by the soft voice of Lord Hurst and she turned, hoping that her eyes and cheeks were dry so as not to look so foolish. "Thank you, my Lord. I hope that he would have," she curtsied politely and smiled as best she could to Lord Hurst. "On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you and Lady Hurst for coming, today. I'm sure my Father would have been glad to see everyone who cared so much for him."
Attempting to drink more of her wine, she put the glass to her lips but all she could drink was a sip.
