"Overproud and overzealous," Eward added, a smile on his face. To think of her as a young woman, even a girl entering her teens, brought back fond memories. Though he'd managed to convince himself all those years that he despised her annoying ways instead of find them endearing or amusing, Eward now recognised the truth of his younger attempts at hiding his true feelings.
"I was cruel because in truth that was the only way I could handle people around me. The only way I could handle myself and my feelings... I still remember when I pushed you into that pond." He chuckled. "That was funny."
