Mr Thompson, apparently having lost his tongue at Mr. Fisher's arrival, merely looked helplessly from Fisher to the young lady, the old man clearly at a loss.
Harry, preferring not to have an audience during the transaction, merely shrugged and allowed the jeweller to scurry over to her, deciding to put off the inevitable a moment longer and to browse the shop's glittering wares for himself for a few moments. Of course, when it seemed Mr. Thompson was spending longer than technically necessary on taking the chocker from it's case, Harry wandered over to the young lady.
"May I say you have an excellent eye?" Harry murmured as he joined her, examining the chocker as Mr. Thompson removed it from the case and handed it to her. "Very beautiful. It would suit you, miss."
