Thérèse knew she was being naughty. Well. Ish. She'd come down to London without a chaperone, i.e. Christopher, and she knew that was being slightly reckless, but she felt like getting away. Just being alone in the city for a day. And she wasn't going anywhere without the carriage outside, so it wasn't as if she'd get lost. She just... felt like treating herself. Getting herself some pretty things. She'd already been to the perfumer, found herself some lovely new scents, and now she was in a jewellers.
She was stood by a display, tilting her head to watch a bracelet glint when a man entered the shop and moved up to the counter. She couldn't hear what he was saying, but the reaction he'd gotten from the man behind the counter was intriguing. Thérèse knew she was probably just asking for trouble by being curious, after all, curiosity killed the cat, but she reminded herself that feline she wasn't, and she moved a little closer surreptitiously, clearing her throat in an attempt to draw Mr Thompson's attention. "Excusez-moi, sir, could I possibly see that necklace in better light?" She gestured to one just under the glass, a pretty, rather expensive looking choker.
