Katherine nodded, but raised an eyebrow skeptically. So he was a politician. Pity for her to not have noticed it sooner; she was usually very keen on picking up these things. But his comments made her question his allegiances to the kind of lifestyle she herself loathed. With a bit of a smile, Katherine answered, "I must admit, I'm not particularly...fond of Parliament, but you are quite correct about how it behaves." She carefully skirted around discussing that she was to marry into Parliament.
"Oh, well, thank you for your condolences," Katherine responded to Richard's words on her father's death. "It's been six years now and still feels fresh." She looked away, flattered and shocked at his sincerity.
