"Oh...I am sorry. I wish I could help you. I sympathise. I am fairly new to London as well." She frowned, genuinely concerned that this man would be lost in the maze of streets due to her own ignorance. "Perhaps I could help you, but I cannot think of how I can. Do you know in which direction is your home?" She doubted there was any way she could help at all, but she wanted to be friendly, and perhaps force her presence on this stranger for as long as she could.
"Are the streets here very different from the streets back...back whereever it is you come from?" She assumed he was French, as she could hear something of an accent in his voice. "In India, streets are not this way. They are a lot less...organised. More cluttered and uncivilized." London, at least the few blocks of London she had seen so far, seemed to be quite hospitable and not particularly dirty. It was very unlike the crowded, rank streets of the cities in her own country.
