Charles took a seat next to her, glad to be resting his feet again. He had to smile, in spite of himself, as Abigail's friendly affections were enough to bring him out of a dark mood. "It was actually one of my better days, and I don't think three animals counts as a dreadful performance. I won't pretend to have the skills or experience of my father or anyone else who truly loves the hunt."
He turned slightly towards Abigail and nodded. "Yes, please read it as soon as you'd like. It is yours after all!" he said, his smile brightening.
