"Oh, okay, sir," Madelene said, still pouting a little. She got up out of the chair and followed him. "Thank you for letting me stay here, sir," she said softly. "Sometimes when I'm asleep at night the drunk men try to rape me after they leave the tavern." She said it simply, as if it was something that happened often in her life and she was no so used to it that it barely upset her.
