Edith had scanned the crowd, making a note that Abigail was still fluttering around her brother's side as if he had done nothing wrong. How dare Eward trick their poor sister into being nice to him? The young brunette decided to avoid that side of the courtyard, and so she was forced to approach Lady Gwendolyn. It wasn't that unbearable, however, as she was the only other female in all of London that Edith could stand. Not including, Abigail; of course.
"Ah, Lady Gwendolyn!" she said as she reached her, a dark smirk coming across her lips. "A pleasure, as always. It has been too long since we last spoke! I have been so busy watching out for Eward, poor thing; he has been so irrational as of late. It seems he has lost his touch and has resorted to lowly serving girls for entertainment." Or that's at least the fib Eward had fed her, rather than telling his sisters the truth about Katherine.
