"That would be lovely," Adelaide said excitedly. "If it is no trouble for you and your wife I would love to stay an extra night or two. If neither of you mind I will talk to my nurse later, but I am sure she will allow it." That last sentence was a lie, but Adelaide knew if she cried enough the overbearing woman would eventually give into her young ward.
"Benjamin would certainly enjoy that. He can have so much energy at times and yet, nobody to play with. He has already terrorized the streets of London several times since I have returned from Paris. Every time the door is opened he goes out." She shook her head, but smiled a little at how hyper Benjamin was at times. She hoped he realized she was talking about her dog Benjamin and not Benjamin her brother, as it could be confusing for people who had not yet met the dog.
"Is Charles here today?" she asked curiously. "I believe I pushed him in the mud during my last visit." She smiled innocently.
