The carriage slowed to a stop, and Abigail sat up, reaching behind her to check her hair. She pinched her cheeks, wanting to add a touch of colour after the long ride, and then turned toward the door as one of the footmen opened it. She took his hand to step out, then smiled when she saw her brother speaking to their host.
She easily made her way to them, curtsying once she reached their sides. "Good day, Lord Hurst. Eward." She nodded to each of them in turn. "Thank you so much for your kind invitation."
