Looking down at the head on her shoulder, Daphne smiled and kissed the top of Daniel's head. They hadn't been in the carriage for very long when he passed out, using her as a pillow of sorts. She didn't mind, of course, she wasn't the least bit tired. A billion things raced through her mind. Was her family going to be there, or any of her friends? How would they react to her just appearing? Would she be welcome or would hiss at her?
Not only all that, but she was just excited to be doing normal things again. Not having to pretend to be someone else, no alterior motives. It was just going to be a great day outdoors, or so she hoped. When the carriage finally arrived at the destination, it jolted to a stop and still Daniel didn't wake. She smiled as she looked out the window and then to him, reaching over to shake him gently.
